TransLink is the main transportation authority in Metro Vancouver. TransLink controls many different forms of transit, as well as many roads and bridges in the region.


Translink was created in 1998, and replaced BC Transit in 1999, taking the responsibilities from the British Columbia government.


TransLink operates many different transportation services throughout Metro Vancouver. They are Buses, SkyTrain, SeaBus, and the West Coast Express.


Buses are the main form of transit throughout Metro Vancouver.


SkyTrain is a rapid transit system that runs throughout the region. It runs on three lines (Expo Line, Millennium Line, and Canada Line), and a fourth line (Evergreen Line) is currently under construction.


SeaBus is a passenger only ferry service that crosses the Burrard Inlet, connecting Vancouver (at Waterfront Station) with North Vancouver (at Lonsdale Quay).

West Coast ExpressEdit

West Coast Express is a commuter rail express train that connects Mission City Station in Mission with Waterfront Station in Vancouver.
